Update on the Distribution of Net Settlement Funds
The Court has approved the distribution of the net settlement funds to eligible Court-approved Claimants who qualified for an award under the Plan of Allocation. A distribution of funds has occurred on the following date/s:

Subsequent distributions will occur on a rolling basis.

Summary of the Action and Settlement

This website relates to a securities class action (the "Action") alleging, among other things, that Ryder Systems, Inc. ("Ryder") and certain of Ryder’s current and former senior executives (together with Ryder, the “Defendants”) violated the federal securities by making materially false and misleading statements and omissions concerning Ryder’s financial performance and the value of its core assets. A more detailed description of the Action is set forth in paragraphs 11-25 of the Notice. Defendants have denied and continue to deny all claims and allegations of wrongdoing asserted against them in the Action.

Court-appointed Lead Plaintiffs State of Alaska, Alaska Permanent Fund; The City of Fort Lauderdale General Employees’ Retirement System; and The City of Plantation Police Officers Pension Fund (“collectively, “Lead Plaintiffs”), on behalf of themselves and the Settlement Class (defined below), have reached a settlement of the Action for $45,000,000 in cash (the "Settlement"). On October 23, 2024, the Court held a hearing to consider final approval of the Settlement and related matters. Following the hearing, the Court entered a judgment finally approving the Settlement, an order approving the Plan of Allocation for the proceeds of the Settlement, and an order awarding attorney's fees and litigation expenses.  

The Settlement Class consists of:

All persons or entities who purchased or otherwise acquired publicly traded Ryder common stock during the period from July 23, 2015 through February 13, 2020, inclusive (the “Class Period”), and were damaged thereby, except for certain persons and entities who are excluded from the Class by definition as set forth in paragraph 26 of the Notice.

Please note:  On March 7, 2024, the Action was reassigned from District Judge Aileen M. Cannon to District Judge Jacqueline Becerra.

Following the Settlement Hearing on October 23, 2024, the Court entered a final Judgment approving the Settlement and an order awarding attorney’s fees and litigation expenses.

The claims administration was completed in June 2026. On June 26, 2026 the Motion for Approval of Distribution Plan was filed. On August 7, 2026, the Court entered the Order Approving the Distribution Plan. The first distribution of the net settlement fund occurred in October 2026. Subsequent distributions will occur on a rolling basis provided that net settlement funds are available.
